Reporting to the Assistant Promotion Manager, the Senior Merchandising Admin Assistant is responsible for assisting and coordinating promotion activities for all stores in the region, as well as providing assistance to the Stores, the manager and the team in compiling reports and performing data maintenance in any merchandising issues.
T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country : 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Act as contact window with Stores on issues such as : product allocation, product recall, feedback collection, rebates allocation, etc.
- Monitor Stores sales and profits and actively suggest support actions
- Follow and execute category strategies and tactics including marketing and promotion, assortment and pricing programs
- Monitor stock level while allocating products to Stores
- Provide assistance in maintaining pricing guidelines, sales plus gross profit expectations
- Review Stores ordering and performance in promotion activities
- Partner closely with Marketing Department and Merchandising Department on promotion related issues
- Generate reports and perform analysis on promotion events, sales, pricing, market reports, and other related data as required
- Conduct market survey, study market reports
- Provide assistance to stores in merchandising issue
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the manager
- Completed University / College education
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Possess good knowledge in product categories; familiar with product specification, pricing, and other mandatory standards and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and in Chinese (Cantonese and / or Mandarin) is an asset to facilitate communications with Stores
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft office programs)
