Liquor Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the daily operations of the 198 BCLIQUOR Stores.

The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business, creates systems and processes, and establishes daily retail procedures to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB's core values of service, relationships and results.

About this role :

Reporting to the Marketing & Advertising Manager, the Marketing & Advertising Specialist, provides management and coordination of monthly advertising programs through both digital and traditional media.

This role works with both internal marketing teams and external vendors to manage creative development, ensure consistency, and obtain approvals.

The role contributes to and executes the digital advertising plan and leads the coordination of related in-store marketing initiatives.

The Marketing & Advertising Specialist works with the Marketing Analyst to conduct quantitative analysis of marketing and advertising initiatives, including Return on Investment (ROI).

A criminal record check is required.

Overtime work on weeknights / weekends as required to respond to urgent marketing and advertising issues (only for urgent matters or in anticipation of a big launch).

Position requirements :

Education and Experience :

Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of recent, related experience*.

• Recent, related experience must be within the last 5 years and must include the following :
• Managing and / or leading digital and traditional advertising programs, including creative development, content planning, coordination between digital and traditional advertising, and in-store marketing initiatives.
• Managing in-store marketing programs and initiatives.
• Communicating and / or partnering with cross-functional teams and store staff.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a large, geographically distributed retail organization.
