Human Resources Manager (12 month contract)

MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a Vancouver area success story in the consumer packaged goods industry in their search for an HR Manager to join their team for a one year contract.

What you will be doing :

  • Recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, off-boarding activities
  • Analyze HR metrics data / trends to identify issues and recommend strategies for improvement
  • Address and resolve complex employee concerns and disputes, ensuring adherence to employment laws and company policies
  • Advise management of potential employee issues and either overseeing or conducting the investigation required to successfully work through employee issues, including formal complaints
  • Administration of extended health, dental and MSP benefit programs
  • Administration of claims management
  • Oversee outsourced payroll (Payworks, ADP) and prepare reports as required for management
  • Maintain employee related personnel files
  • Develop, update and maintain companywide employee policies, procedures, and programs
  • Delivering training programs and workshops for management on employee relations policies and practices.
  • Supporting employee development initiatives
  • Monitor performance evaluation program
  • Manage HR related grant applications

Who you are :

  • You have a relevant degree and at experience at the HR Manager level
  • You have some experience in a production / manufacturing environment
  • You have or are pursuing your CPHR designation
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • You are a strong communicator and relationship builder

The successful candidate will be joining an organization with a reputation as a great place to work and will rewarded with a competitive compensation / benefits package (base salary + / - $110k).
