Northern Strands is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail‑driven Marketing Administrator whose primary responsibility is providing administrative support to the execution of company marketing strategies such as creating basic marketing content, editing and proofreading materials, assisting with event logistics and registrations, and maintaining marketing folders and resources. What You’ll Be Doing
Assist with trade show logistics including set up, takedown, rentals, bookings, and other related tasksOrganize charity events independently or collaboratively as part of a team (i.e., Make‑a‑Wish BBQ, EGADZ donation drive, Stuff the Bus)Register employees into eventsProofread, edit, and reformat marketing documents and materialReview and refine blogs, social media posts, and general customer communicationsCreate first drafts of profile, blogs, and social media contentDesign basic marketing materials and brochuresAssist in creating and managing equipment listings on Kijiji and company websiteContribute to research tasks as requiredAssist with ordering of marketing materials, decals, signage, and related itemsProvide support in booking, implementing, and monitoring of approved media campaigns (i.e., Google Ads, email blasts, etc.)Participate in monitoring and reviewing Google Analytics data and discuss insights with Marketing ManagerCapture high‑quality photos and videos of productsAssemble promotional item packages for sponsorships, client engagements, and eventsEdit videos and photos using tools such as Photoshop for video slideshows and other visual contentCreate and revise PowerPoint presentationsOrganize marketing materials and folders, ensuring timely updates following the creation and revisions of documentsPerform inventory management for promotional items, clothing, and trade show materialsHandle pick‑up and / or drop‑off of marketing materials, promotional items, samples, and other departmental needs related to events or ongoing projectsAssist other departments with general administrative tasks as requiredWhat You Bring To The Table
University degree in marketing or business, or diploma in a similar fieldMinimum of two (2) years work experience in marketing or related rolePrevious work experience or training in tools such as Google Analytics and photo editing software is considered an assetCustomer service experience is considered an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Valid Driver’s LicenseExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization skills and attention to detailAble to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time‑sensitive deadlinesAny equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the positionWhat We Offer
