Airswift is seeking an SME, Senior Construction Consultant to work with an innovative Construction Technology client in Calgary, AB.

This is a 1-year contract with a huge possibility of being extended.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Consultant with over 30 years of expertise in the Oil and Gas industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of construction management, project delivery, and industry best practices, with a proven track record of success on world-class projects with major clients.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Senior Construction Consultant will provide strategic advice, guidance, and solutions to clients, ensuring the successful execution and completion of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance and consultancy services in construction management, project delivery, and industry-specific best practices.
  • specialized expertise in Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Modularization, project execution excellence, and project assurance and assessment activities (PEER, Cold Eyes, Audits).
  • comprehensive assessments and reviews of client projects to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • with project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors to develop and implement tailored construction strategies, methodologies, and execution plans.
  • workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to transfer expertise and best practices to client teams and project stakeholders.
  • guidance and support during all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design and engineering to procurement, fabrication, construction, completions, and commissioning.
  • and implement construction management plans, project labor agreements, and labor strategies to ensure alignment with project objectives, scope, and quality standards.
  • abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to provide clients with informed advice and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • of 30 years of progressive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong background in construction management, project delivery, and execution roles.
  • expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in construction management, Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Modularization, and project assurance and assessment activities.
  • leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, project teams, and subcontractors.
  • experience in a consulting or advisory role, providing strategic guidance and support to clients in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • with labor unions, project labor agreements, and labor relations in relevant jurisdictions.
