LOCATION : London & SW Ontario

WORK ENVIRONMENT : Road Service

WHAT TO EXPECT :

• Signing bonus $2,500 for fully ticketed journeyperson
• Up to $3,000 in JJE Technician Training bonuses
• Stable scheduling : Monday-Friday Dayshift (40 hours / week)
• Quarterly bonus opportunities
• Road service truck provided
• Variable equipment including street sweepers, vac trucks and refuse trucks
• 2 weeks vacation and 3 paid personal days

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING :

• Licensed Truck and Coach 310T or Heavy Equipment Technician 421A
• Strong work ethic
• Mechanically inclined; hydraulic, pneumatic, diagnostics, inspections and electrical
• Ability to adapt based on the work needs
• Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :

Education / Certification :

• Licensed Truck and Coach 310T or Heavy Equipment Mechanic 421A
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

Experience :

• 3+ years’ experience as a working on various types of heavy equipment
• Experienced with hydraulic and / or electrical work
• Experience setting up and operating complex machinery
• Experience using MS Office Suite

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform mechanical repairs on a variety of heavy equipment represented by JJE
• Perform hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
• Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner, communicating effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
• Communicate with Road Service Manager regarding job progress and job status changes
• Manage Service Truck inventory
• Maintain organized and safe work area, shop tools and service vans

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Employees must :

• Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation / regulations / safety policies
• Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
• Cooperate with their workplace’s Safety Committee or health and safety representative
• Use any safety equipment, protective devices or clothing required
• Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.

Work Environment :

• Shop, Warehouse, Yard, Road environment
• Frequent exposure to noise, dust and dirt

Physical Demand :

• Frequently required to lift and move moderately heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
• Frequently standing and walking
