Technical Product Manager (Electronics)
Full-Time Position
Location : Hybrid (at least 3 days per week in MWHQ, Vancouver, BC)
Base Salary : $125,000 - $135000

About the Role
As a Technical Product Manager specializing in electronics, you will own the technical definition, system architecture, and execution of complex hardware products. This role blends product thinking with deep technical leadership. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to shape product direction, translate needs into system requirements, and guide products from concept through delivery.
This role is ideal for an electronics or embedded systems engineer who enjoys product ownership, client engagement, and cross functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Define product scope, system requirements, and success metrics for hardware products
- Own electronics and embedded system architecture decisions across the product lifecycle
- Translate product requirements into prioritized technical roadmaps and delivery plans
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and software teams to drive execution
- Balance product tradeoffs across performance, cost, risk, and timeline
- Lead system bring up, debugging, validation, and readiness for delivery
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for platform reuse, IP development, and product improvement
- Mentor team members and contribute to MistyWest’s technical and product leadership
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years delivering embedded or electro mechanical products with hardware and firmware integrationStrong hands on experience with embedded systems including MCU selection, schematics review, PCB review, sensor integration, power management, and firmware development in C or C++Experience with system validation, hardware in the loop testing, debugging, and reliability testingDemonstrated ability to manage technical scope, priorities, and delivery timelinesExperience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teamsStrong problem solving skills, curiosity, and a product focused mindsetAssets
Experience with motion control, optics, or high precision sensing systemsExposure to manufacturing, DFM, or early production environmentsValues Fit
