Responsibilites :
Administration of the collectiveagreement including grievance administration interpretation andoverall compliance
Responsible for data gathering and generating reports tocompile into presentations for corporate KPI reporting
Coaching guiding and providingdirection to operating management on assigned shift
Other HR assignments as requiredrelated to employment recruitment onboarding and training
Analyze andinterpret complex contract and legislative language. Resolve issueswithin units through interpretation and enforcement of contract andrelated legislation.
Conduct workplace investigations and where appropriateand / or authorized recommend or issue appropriate discipline.
Answer and problemsolve employees queries about HRrelated issues post anycommunication policy changes on HR communication board
Manage the overtime equalizationprocess with supervisors and hourly employees
Will own the salary onboardingrecruitment training records Client university
Will own the benefitadminstration for salary employees including benefit providorsretirement tribute and others for salary employees.
Will manage the short termdisability Non occupational related injuries for all employeesreturn to work follow up
Support audits (HR and IATF) by ensuring relevantinformation is updated and meets requirements Support the revisionof sitespecific company policies by providing input and gatheringinput from business leaders
Liaise with partners such as other HR team members legalvendors site department leadership etc.
Create regular reports and presentations onHR metrics (e.g. KPI attrition absenteeism diversity)
Participate in HR projects andinitiatives such as Wellness recognition events engagement etc
Collaboration inprojectorientated tasks
Improve HR processes and efficiencies
Experience :
University Degree inBusiness Human Resources Industrial Relations or Law or equivalentcombination of education and experience required.
A minimum of 2 years experiencein unionized Labour Relations required.
Knowledge of relevant legislation (includingwithout limitation the Employment Standards Act the LabourRelations Act the Occupational Health and Safety Act the WorkplaceSafety and Insurance Act the Public Hospitals Act). required.
Knowledge of LabourRelations practices and principles. required.
Knowledge and experience inworkplace investigations including but not limited to thosepertaining to workplace harassment.
Knowledge and experience regarding collectiveagreement administration and bargaining required.
Knowledge of a variety ofsoftware applications including Word Excel and Microsoftapplications required.
