Robert Half presently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Located in Etobicoke, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / contract / contract / temporary position. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

Key responsibilities

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Fullfill full-cycle A/P

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

- Provide support during internal and external audits

- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

Job Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Strong attention to detail

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
