The Opportunity
HGA IFS is currently seeking a results‑driven and experienced Financial Controller to join our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial management, be proficient in regulatory compliance, and have excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to provide expert financial guidance and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations for a diverse client portfolioAnalyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performanceCreate and implement financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting regulations
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reportingCollate and analyze financial data to provide forecasts, projections, and budget plansDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor in financial mattersMonitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial recordsStay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practicesProvide guidance and coaching to team members and ensure their professional developmentQualifications
Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably in a professional services environment, for a minimum of 3 years5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceCPA designationStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reportingProficiency with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks suite) and open to learn new ERP systemsExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skillsDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a focus on data integrityStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholdersAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines#J-18808-Ljbffr
