Accountant - ManufacturingOur clientis a worldwide leader in their industry!For almost 40 years, they have developed, manufactured, and marketed their award-winningproducts to new heights, due to their reliability and easy use!In this role, you will report to the Finance Director while working alongside the Finance Manager to support the Senior Management Team with financial analysis and technical knowledge and experience.
You will manage the monthly upload of financial results and prepare daily and monthly reporting as required. What we offer :

What you do :
- Performing various A / R tasks, such as recording revenue from CRM to accounts package; credit control collections, maintaining the accounts receivable ledger.
- Performing various A / P tasks, such as processing, verifying, and reconciling
- invoices to PO’s and the AP ledger; completing payment runs and organizing supplier payments accordingly.
- Posting bank transactions and relevant journals to the general ledger as applicable and maintaining various Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- To support standard costing for the manufacturing of our instruments and inventory transactions of the businessand understand cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and providing information to the auditors in a timely manner as required.
- Supporting Financial Team to prepare and understand various period end reports thatare used by senior management for strategic decision making, which could include setting up and maintainingautomated reports.
- Support the Finance Director with the Budget and Forecasting process as required.
- To support setting up a process for preparing a variance analysis of results against budget or forecast to beutilized during the period end process.
- To follow financial controls, systems and practices of the business that align us with our overall parent company and ensuring that there is rigor within the financial practices.
Who you are :
- University degree in Accounting and Finance or similar.
- 2-3 years Manufacturing Accounting Experience.
- High attention to detail and computer literacy in applicable applications especially on high level use of Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication skills to finance and non-finance staff.
- Good level of organizational skills to plan time and tasks efficiently and effectively and demonstrate the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and desire and skillset to to effectively mentor and coach members
- Possesses an exceptional work ethic and flexibility to accommodate a fast-paced business environment.
