Role Description
The Scheduler for Project Planning will be responsible for ensuring the integrated master schedule is maintained for the Program, working with the functional departments to analyze forecast vs baseline variances, performing what-if scenarios as required, and updating schedules to produce management reports.
Responsibilities include :
- Developing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on professional standards.
- Conducting critical path analysis and developing "what if" scenarios.
- Integrating sub-schedules into IMS using Primavera / Aveva.
- Recording and issuing progress reports to stakeholders.
- Supporting development of progress reports using Earned Value techniques.
- Ensuring multi-project schedule dependencies are implemented.
- Maintaining SDRL, WBS, OBS, RBS, and Control Account Structure.
- Communicating with functional departments to align budget and schedule with baseline.
- Consulting with project managers and technical experts.
- Implementing and maintaining effective scheduling management systems.
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Updating schedules to ensure project progress reporting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and practical experience essential for managing complex project schedules in a shipyard environment.
With a strong foundation in engineering or related disciplines, coupled with proficiency in scheduling software and project integration, they bring valuable skills in Earned Value Management and schedule risk analysis to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
Qualifications include :
- Recognized Diploma in technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering technology or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
- PMI Certification and / or PMP an asset.
- Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals Certificate an asset.
- 2+ years of scheduling experience in complex projects.
- Experience with the use of scheduling software, Primavera.
- Experience working with multiple project integration.
- Experience working within integrated teams, with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Experience applying Earned Value Management techniques.
- Familiarity with schedule risk analysis using Monte-Carlo method is considered an asset.
