Position Overview :
As a Project Manager within our Building Restoration Consulting Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of a project from design, construction, and delivery under the support and guidance of a Project Principal. With a proactive and client-focused mindset, you have a passion for delivering outstanding engineering services.
General Responsibilities :

Technical Responsibilities :
Manage restoration projects from initial design phase to completionLead proposal development, including scope definition, fee estimation, scheduling, and resource planningConduct site investigations and evaluationsPrepare detailed technical reports of findings, provide recommendations on project concept, and provide direction during construction phasePrepare detailed restoration design, including scopes of work, specifications, and drawingsChair client meetings and communicate design updates, changes, and key project milestones to contractors and other engineering and architectural disciplinesManage the tendering process and oversee contract administration, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and review of invoices and change ordersRepresent Sense at industry events and other networking functionsCommitment to continuous learning by staying updated with industry trends, codes, and best practicesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersOccasional travel within Canada required, with the majority of projects to be within OntarioOther duties as assigned / requiredWhat We’re Looking For :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited universityMinimum 5 years of Building Envelope and / or Structural Restoration experienceRegistered with or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)Proven ability to apply project management principles, from strategic planning and budgeting to resource allocation and scope controlExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build trust with clients and contractorsGood working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindsetCommitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organizationValid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation requiredWhy Join Sense Engineering?
