What does a Security Guard in Edmonton do?
- Interior and exterior patrols
- Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, security escorts, responding to calls for service and report writing / note taking
- Performing property inspections and enforce property laws, client rules, and other regulations
- Provide keys and temporary pass to visitors / employees
- Liaising with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
- Providing customer service information and assist in handling the questions of visitors
- Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Edmonton?
- Valid Alberta Security Guard license
- Strong computer skills
- Customer service oriented
- Must be available any day of the week for 12-hour rotational shifts either days or nights
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- Be comfortable removing unauthorized individuals from the property
- Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods of time
- Good verbal and written communication skills- High level of English is required
