We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our North America sales team. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will sell, promote, and demonstrate the RIDGID & Greenlee lines of tools and equipment.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Vancouver, BC area. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the Region.
Your job will be to offer unique perspectives and insights to the way customers view their business, align their insights and priorities, while tying those insights back to Emerson Professional Tools’ unique product differentiators.
You will be able to drive two-way communications and clearly articulate our value proposition and engage the end-customer in jointly addressing their business priorities.
This role will have the ability to define and implement sales plans, track economic drivers and industry activity, and understand the implications on customers’ business, including new business opportunities.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :
- Developing, presenting, & implementing annual business plans & forecast to deliver incremental sales growth
- Providing excellent customer support in the form of field product demonstrations, training, & technical support with end users and distributors
- Being the subject matter authority for the product, applications, & pricing program for your given territory
- Developing & owning relationships with both Key Distributor Partners and End Users
- Tracking weekly progress of calls, demonstrations, and opportunities via CRM Software
- Collaborating daily across the Territory & Region with a WE instead of ME mentality

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED :
- Experience with distribution channels, with an emphasis on Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, & Industrial.
- 3+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or other relevant subject areas; OR
- 5+ years of relevant experience instead of a bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, & measuring a Territory Business Plan to deliver incremental sales growth
- Ability to work in a matrix-managed environment with shared goals
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization, time & territory management skills
- Comfort with roll up your sleeves and get dirty mentality to perform hands-on field product demonstrations, training, & troubleshooting
- Driving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and share
- Developing and managing a monthly / yearly sales forecast
- A proven track record and successful history of achieving goals and sales targets
- Supporting regional & national accounts & trade organizations
- Building & monitoring merchandising displays at key distributor channel partner location
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART :
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 5+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint; CRM Application experience a plus.
