Student, Data Developer (Summer 2026)

At Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), the Data Product Delivery team helps build end‑to‑end data products, Power BI dashboards, and analytics on our scalable cloud data mesh. As a student on the team, you will work on business‑critical reporting and analytics initiatives, learning modern data engineering and visualization practices while contributing to impactful projects. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your data developer skills and contribute to AIMCo’s business goals, while enabling data‑driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to extract, load, and transform data from various sources into cloud‑based data warehouses and data lakes.
• Design and implement data processing workflows that are highly optimized for their cloud‑native environment.
• Collaborate with senior developers and data architects to design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures on cloud platforms.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the performance of cloud‑based data warehouses and data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and optimize query performance.
• Work with data analysts to understand data requirements and design data models that enable effective reporting and analysis.
