Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems, ensuring our applications are secure, scalable, and efficient. You will work closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver high-performance applications that leverage AWS cloud services and Kubernetes. Your responsibilities include managing infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK and monitoring systems with tools like Grafana and Loki. We’re looking for someone passionate about backend development, cloud infrastructure, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python and integrate with cloud services on AWS.
• Design and deploy AWS infrastructure, leveraging services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring proper scaling, load balancing, and orchestration.
• Automate infrastructure management with Terraform or AWS CDK to provide repeatable and efficient cloud resource provisioning.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana and Loki to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver cohesive, scalable, and secure applications.
• Automate workflows and improve infrastructure and application performance, ensuring low‑latency and high‑availability systems.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.

Employment Details

In addition to competitive pay, this full‑time role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
