We are seeking a Technical Writing Student for our North American Headquarters district in Edmonton, Alberta , that is available for 4-8 months starting in May 2026.
As a Technical Writing Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by :
- Create, update, and maintain high-quality process, training, and system documentation that adheres to organizational standards.
- Develop clear and concise technical documentation, including requirements, use cases, functional designs, and user acceptance testing materials.
- Assist in delivering web-based training and creating supporting instructional content for end users.
- Participate in pilots and rollouts, ensuring documentation and communication materials are accurate and accessible.
- Draft and deliver stakeholder communications that translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to refine requirements and support user acceptance testing.
- Perform system configuration and testing, documenting results and processes thoroughly.
- Liaise with business, technology, and support teams to ensure systems meet business requirements and documentation reflects current functionality.
- Analyze system and data usage, presenting findings in clear, structured reports.
- Configure dashboards, analytics, and reports in tools such as Power BI, ensuring documentation accompanies all deliverables.
- Provide user support for enterprise business development systems, responding to service requests, troubleshooting incidents, and investigating problems.
