Overview
Performs the preparation, assembly, packing of sandwiches, and other food-related products. Maintains safe working conditions, following Food Safe Procedures.
Responsibilities
Assembles food service items as per standard recipe. Maintains productivity and efficiency levels. Ability to use weighing scales for weight checks when required. Ability to record QA documents in real time. Packages and labels prepared product for distribution. Cleans and prepares fresh produce items. Cleans and sanitizes all equipment and fixture surfaces as per provincial and company standards. Performs daily sanitation of the facility. Follows the allergen policy. Perform daily checks (Critical control points and control points) and records information as required by Standard operating procedures. Maintains high standard of Personal hygiene, Good Manufacturing practices and follows standard company and provincial regulations for food safety and quality. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Performs all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Skills / Qualifications / Travel
Reading – Must be able to read English
Writing – Must be able to write in English
Math – High school math
Computer – No computer requirements
Equipment – Calculators, wrapping machine, metal detector, conveyor belts, thermometer, weighing scales.
Travel – Not a requirement
Physical Effort / Working Conditions
Lifting, Bending and twisting. Ability to lift 20 lbs. consistently through the day. Stationary position in cold environment for up to 4-hour periods.
Management / Planning
May assist in training new staff.
