This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Youth Services- Brennan House
Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, strives to enhance the quality of life for all who seek assistance and support in our community. Youth Services Brennan House is a 15-bed facility for youth aged 15-18 with complex mental health issues. Staff at Brennan house develop individualized treatment plans to support or enhance youth with their integration into the community. Youth have barrier free access to mental health clinician and individualized clinically informed care. Staff members support clients to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.
How You Will Make an Impact
In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of Clients living at Youth Services. Services to clients include assessment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, supportive counselling, education, advocacy, social / recreational programming, life skills teaching i.e. cooking and linkages with other community services. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity.
Responsible for participating in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs, procedures, procedures and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd
