Responsibilities
- Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experienceExperience with measuring tools : micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, verniersComputer and technology knowledge : Mastercam CAD / CAM; computer‑aided design (CAD)Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, tight‑deadline environmentExcellent written and oral communicationAttention to detail, initiative, flexibility, ability to learn quickly and work as a team playerPhysical ability to stand for extended periods, lift more than 45 kg (100 lb) and handle repetitive tasksWork Setting
