Job Description

The Trade Marketing Specialist NA with special focus on the canadian market which supports the Commercial Team by creating a strong in-store presence, overseeing customization execution, and planning and executing commercial events such as tradeshows, trunk shows, and buying events. This role also involves utilizing SAP for purchase order management and invoice processing. This role interacts with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), customers, and sales representatives and ensuring marketing and merchandising objectives are achieved.

Reports to Senior TM Operations Manager NA

Key Responsibilities :

1. Trade Marketing & Customization Coordination :

  • Assist the sales team in executing In-store customizations, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors for design and production of customizations, including ordering materials, tracking delivery,
  • and invoicing.
  • Manage trunk show kits and their utilization among sales reps.
  • R›equest, track gifting needs for holidays, trunk shows, and charity requests.

2. Event Planning & Execution :

  • Lead the planning and execution of commercial events, including trade shows, trunk shows, and buying events, within an
  • assigned annual budget.
  • Manage all aspects of events, including ordering event items needed, coordinating logistics, and liaising with warehouses for
  • seamless execution.
  • Track RSVPs for buying events, communicate with teams about attendance, and maintain awareness of upcoming
  • market events.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for marketing and event needs and shipping logistics.
  • 3. Marketing Design & Content Management :

  • Create and distribute marketing materials : Develop event invitations & signage and distribute POP, window displays, GWPS
  • to support in-store presence and promotional efforts.
  • Support digital marketing efforts : Compile and share digital content packs to align with customer social media initiatives and
  • marketing agreements.
  • 4. SAP Utilization :

  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders in SAP to support trade marketing activities and event execution.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring timely payment and accurate record-keeping.
  • Monitor event budget and provide expense reporting through SAP
  • 5. Merchandising & Brand Presence :

  • Ensure company merchandising and marketing objectives are met by managing the distribution of brand assets.

  • Oversee implementation of the Generic Fixture System or other display units with RSM support US & Canada.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure trade marketing programs align with sales objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the brand’s presence.
  • 6. Reporting & Administration :

  • Track expenses for events and marketing activities, ensuring adherence to budgets.
  • Provide reports on event performance, customization impact, and ROI.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records of events, customization orders, and marketing collateral.
  • Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of relevant experience; experience in the eyewear industry is an asset.
  • Proven skills in design and visual merchandising
  • Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with SAP software is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (bilingual in French and English).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
