Reporting to the district sale manager, the candidate will act as sales representative for the company, selling food packaging products to existing and prospective customers in the territory served (Ottawa).

The position will be based in Ottawa.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a new customer base by regularly prospecting in the territory;
  • Analyze customer needs and make appropriate recommendations;
  • Meet objectives so as to increase profitability and growth in the territory;
  • Keep up to date on market trends and the competition;
  • Nurture, maintain and consolidate business relationships with existing customers so as to build customer loyalty and offer impeccable, high-quality personalized service that sets us apart from the competition;
  • Help customers to analyze and identify their needs;
  • Advise customers and make technical recommendations based on their specific needs;
  • Oversee the quote process and collaborate with various internal departments (purchasing, warehouse, shipping) on the procurement, preparation and delivery of customer orders;
  • Perform administrative follow-up with customers in the event of schedule overruns related to negotiated payment terms;
  • Carry out business development activities with a view to increasing sales and the customer base while minimizing risks, losses and operating costs;
  • Monitor the activity sector.
  • 70% developing and prospecting for new customers;
  • 20% developing and maintaining regular customers;

10% administration (KPI, budget; CRM).

  • Permanent and full time position
  • Monday to Friday / 37,5 Hours / weekly

  • College diploma in administration and / or sales (or equivalent);
  • Minimum five years’ experience in sales and distribution in a related sector;
  • Sales experience in the hospitality sector;
  • Bilingual;
  • Live in the job territory (mandatory);
  • Good knowledge of food packaging products and concepts;
  • Able to work in a computerized environment and use various software (Office Suite, CRM, KPI, Microsoft NAV);
  • Integrity and confidentiality;
