Currently we have an opening for a Production Assembler - Heavy Equipment. The Product Assembler is responsible for performing tasks that are necessary to the production process, aiding in the assembly, installation, and repair of mechanical component parts and products.
What you will be doing
- Assembly / sub-assembly work of a machine : modules, electrics, hydraulics, cabin, etc.
- Ocular inspection of the quality and validity of the delivered materials for the work
- Module assembly puts together entities from sub-assembly and other items
- Final assembly work starts by getting to know the details of the order : tailored production structure, basic machine structure, parts catalogue and options required
- Use hand and power tools to assemble or repair parts and products
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions
- Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures
- Work to standard operating procedures, bills of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from management or engineering
- Responsible for visual and functional inspections of material before and after assembly by conducting inspection for conformance to drawings and specifications, functional operation, and appearance
- Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by manager
Environmental Health and Safety
Complies with Sandvik Mining safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirementsResponsibility to identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses.
