Control Room Operator

Status : Professional, Permanent, Full Time

Status : Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 4pm to 12 : 00am (evening shift)

Candidates must be adaptable to flexible work hours.

Place of Work : CRF AgriTech LPs plant, 263 Edwards St, St Thomas, Ontario.

THE CHALLENGES WE OFFER

Reporting to the Plant Manager of the location, here are the main responsibilities of the role :

Control room duties

• Start, monitor, and stop the automated production system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot process equipment to ensure all parameters are within stipulated guidelines.
• Ensure all conveyors are tracked and performing at optimum capacity.
• Ensure raw material conveyance system is clear and unimpeded to mitigate against unplanned production interruptions.
• Direct, train, and educate floor operators to all production expectations.
• Monitor overall system performance including scale calibrations.
• Keep inventories up to date and report usage trends.
• Monitor and interpret computerized / process data.
• Inspect mixers, table feeders, and scale hoppers to ensure adequate function.
• Maintain and record production data including raw material usage.
• Inspect MCC room and validate electrical and instrumentation requirements to ensure compliance within acceptable limits.
• Share critical information regarding quality with QA / QC department.
• From the control room, assist the floor operators to load and unload railcars and trucks of bulk materials.

QA / QC duties

• Report chemical ratios to QA / QC department to ensure quality conformance.
• Assist QA / QC department in sample collection as required.

Other plant duties

• Interact and participate in decisions with maintenance members for the proper functioning of the production processes.
• Perform all other related tasks to ensure the smooth running of operations.
• Operate a wheel loader and forklift as required.

YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

• You have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in control room operations; (an advantage)
• Post secondary technical diploma or certification required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime to ensure production targets are met.
• Willingness to comply with all established safety and PPE requirements.
• You have exceptional knowledge of technologies and MS Office suite.
• You are recognized for your ability to communicate and organize your priorities.
• You communicate and rely on teamwork to mobilize your colleagues.
• You are rigorous and pay particular attention to details to respect the standards established by the organization.
• You are in good physical condition and can work at heights.
• You can lift or carry loads of up to 30 pounds.
