Commercial Building Custodian
We are seeking a diligent and independent Building Custodian to join our client's team in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of their facilities.
Our client values excellence and is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. The Building Custodian will be responsible for performing various cleaning tasks and floor maintenance duties.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Job Details :
Schedule : Monday to Friday, Days, 40 hours per week (flexible start and end times)
Location : Ottawa South
Pay : $19 to $20 per hour (determined on experience of awarded candidate)

Responsibilities
Conduct routine cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Clean and sanitise restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
Operate floor stripping and waxing equipment proficiently.
Strip, wax, and buff floors according to established schedules and standards.
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
Proficiency in operating floor stripping and waxing equipment.
Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects.
Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
