Simlog is looking for a Sales Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the President and the Director of Sales and Marketing, this position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Being adaptable to an evolving and expanding role is a must.
The ideal candidate possesses a sales-centric mindset with a genuine interest in assessing customer needs and identifying new opportunities. The successful candidate must be equally at ease over the phone and with face-to-face customer interaction, including conducting online and in-person sales presentations and product demonstrations. A high comfort level with technology and with learning
domain-specific product features is also required.
Sales Responsibilities
Qualify sales leads and follow-up with ownership of Sales Prospects based on defined segmentation criteria
Review requests for Proposals / Quotations and participate in response preparation
Contribute to the preparation of quotations by Simlog's sales team
Coordinate joint sales in conjunction with Simlog’s Value-Added Resellers
Prepare and analyze sales pipelines of Prospects and Opportunities
Research and contact potential Prospects to determine the viability of new market segments
Promotional Responsibilities
Participate in the creation of new sales collateral, including content for our Web site and social media (LinkedIn)
Identify customers for Success Stories, and contribute to researching and writing the content
Identify ideas for new email campaigns, newsletter content, and blog posts, and contribute to their development
Host video-conferencing at Simlog for online presentations and product demonstrations
Trade show exhibiting (with other Simlog staff) to demonstrate our products and identify new Prospects
Required Qualifications :
University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Engineering
2-5 years related experience ln Business-to-Business (B2B) sales or business development
Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills in French
Good grasp of sales cycle management and sales pipeline analysis
Knowledge of CRM systems
Ability to travel occasionally (a few times a year)
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Skills :
Prior relevant work experience in supply chain and material handling operations
Prior relevant work experience selling products for vocational training
