Nanny Wanted - 2 Boys (Aged 3.5 Yrs & 10 Months) Looking For Casual (Possible Future Part Time) Nanny Rate Negotiable

Our family, coming from Australia in 2022 (PR 2024), living in SW Calgary (Spruce Cliff) are seeking a responsible and dedicated individual to care for our 2 sons, aged 3.

5 years and 10 months. Our oldest is on the spectrum, non-verbal, and started PUF therapies Sept 2024, which is helping him thrive tremendously.

He's pretty self sufficient, pretty introvert, just needs some extra help with some direction & diaper changing (not yet potty trained) & communicates with occasional vocal stimming.

Outside of those challenges, he's the sweetest boy that's chock full of energy, loves the outdoors & growing to try / love so many new and different things everyday.

Our youngest is developing at lighting speed, started pulling up at 7 months, cruising at 8 months, now standing on his own for a few good seconds at 9 months.

He's exclusively formula fed (We have a Brezza so its already pre-set, you just push a button, mix & serve : D) with combined baby-led weaning solids (eating at an 18 month level, so it's 1 meal split between 2 with minor prep differences i.

e. cut fruit vs whole fruit, cut sandwhich in quarters vs cut in half etc.). He's also pretty self sufficient, more of an extrovert, loves interacting with people, loves music (particularly Armin Van Buuren or classical / piano) also loves the outdoors (or just going out anywhere), is also mostly on-time with his "duties" (feed, change, play, sleep sleep SLEEEEPPPPP! LOVES SLEEP!).

Both boys have alot of likes / dislikes in common, so even with their polar opposite personalities, you don't really need a split personality yourself to keep up, haha!This is a live-out, casual position (odd days, if available.

Will give as much notice as possible for each day(s) required with times / durations to be discussed and confirmed prior to services accepted - i.

e. we'll ask if you're free x day for x hours (am or pm, Mon-Sun). Minimum 4 hour shifts, at $20 per hour (Between 6am-6pm), $25 (Between 6pm-10pm), $30 per hour (Anytime Sundays) & $40 per hour (Between 10pm-6am & all hours on Public Holidays).

Hours will be paid pro-rata based on the time (i.e. if you start at 4pm & finish at 8pm, you'll be paid 2 hours at $20, 2 hours at $25).

This would be the arrangement initially for a few months, with the potential for regular part-time set hours in the future.

This will be dependent on everyone being on board. Also happy to discuss staying on a Casual basis long-term if it works for everyone.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience caring for infants and preschool-aged children, as well as a valid CPR certification, police checks etc.

Experience / Certifications with children on the spectrum will be ideal / highly regarded (if this is you, we would love to hear / see your work) but not essential.

If you do not have experience, you MUST be willing to take part in our son's IPP with his teachers on occasion & follow the teacher's introductions for growth / development when the teachers are not around as this is important for his development.

Your primary responsibilities will include engaging in age-appropriate activities, providing meals and snacks, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our children.

In addition to childcare duties, light housekeeping and meal preparation will also be required. Anything else will be discussed with you prior to including as a duty.

Please note : You may sometimes only be caring for 1 child but we will be paying you the same rate even if it's just 1 child.
