Responsibilities
- Analyzes technical documents and development specifications to understand the software solution.
- Develops the documentation structure for identified audiences.
- Creates end user facing documentation in a test environment, using technical authoring tool (e.g. ClickLearn).
- Edit authored content for errors and incorporate subject matter expert feedback.
- Writes and edits training presentations & end-user facing documentation, ensuring clarity.
- Identifies improvements to in-app helptext, onboarding flows, and other program assets to ensure system functions are communicated in a clear manner to existing users.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies that will improve content development and publishing processes.
- Collaborates with fellow technical solutions analysts and business analysts to improve the product.
- Uses established style guide and messaging for existing documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in technical writing or software documentation.
- Proficiency in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in authoring and publishing system end-user documentation within a continuous release cycle will be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate key technical information in plain language for general consumption.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills is a must.
- Healthy analytical and critical thinking skills.
