Base pay range
CA$23.00 / hr - CA$25.00 / hr

Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assisting clients with instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, meal preparation
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team
- Providing assistance with mobility and transferring patients safely
- Supporting patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary requirements
- Assisting with medication reminders and medication administration under supervision
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
Qualifications
Compassionate and empathetic demeanorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset.Requirements
Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker RegistryCompletion of a recognized Health Care Assistant programPrevious experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting preferredNegative TB test completed in the past 90 daysA negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 daysCertification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekendsBenefits
