In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and testing products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves performing inspections, collecting samples, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support smooth production operations.

Tests products at specified stages in the production process and records test data, applying quality control procedures and accurately documenting the results of the inspections and testing.Responsible for monitoring the quality control of raw materials, product-in-process and finished product run during the shift.Responsible for the full compliance of specific standards for product quality by ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and accurately.Ensures all requirements are met to release the line / equipment for production.Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, maintenance, and distribution to ensure smooth flow of shift.Assist in completing all related validations with respect to equipment / allergens / cleaning.Collection of microbiological / customer samples of raw materials and finished product for testing and analysis, incubation, SAS, and retained sample checks.Ensure samples, equipment, and any required chemicals are handled properly to avoid contamination.Bulk receiving of raw materials.Perform routine cleaning and calibration of laboratory instruments.Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Biology, Food Sciences, Microbiology or related field is required1-3 years' work experience in Quality Control in food manufacturing is an assetWorking experience with HPLC and other analytical equipment is an assetExcellent analytical laboratory skillsAttention to detailAbility to work with minimal supervision and in a team environmentAbility to evaluate production data (i.e. variances, efficiencies)Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications), and instructional softwareSkill in organization, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasksGood interpersonal and communication skillsAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyInitially the work will be a day shift position, with expectation to work extended hours or weekend overtime as required.
