Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and Human Systems Integration (HSI) activities in alignment with program plans, regulatory requirements, and DND policy.
- Ensure verification and validation requirements are met through human integration testing to support usability and safety.
- Provide guidance and oversight for the development, documentation, and assessment of HFE and HSI deliverables, ensuring they meet program objectives and enhance user experience.
- Evaluate engineering changes to identify and communicate impacts, risks, and issues related to design, integration, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams and Working Groups, contributing HSI and HFE expertise to support inclusive and effective system design.
Qualifications
Education : Degree in a relevant field such as Human Factors Engineering, Behavioral Science, Industrial Engineering, or Systems Engineering. Equivalent years of applied experience may offset formal educational requirements.Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience applying Human Systems Integration (HSI) specialty in a system design environment. Proven ability to provide strategic oversight and ensure compliance with HSI / HFE requirements throughout the system lifecycle.Experience with marine systems is preferred.Location
