Instructor - Community Service and Teacher Development Program

Overview

POSITION TYPE CONTRACT, PART-TIME, CASUAL Various hours between Mon – Fri 8 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m. Job Description : We are seeking Contract Instructors to teach specific program modules. Instructors must be dedicated to empowering Indigenous adult students by providing high quality training that integrates Indigenous knowledge, personal and community development, as well as community service and educational assistant skills. You will have the opportunity to inspire and empower Indigenous adults, fostering their growth and preparing them for impactful roles within community service and education sectors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging and culturally appropriate instructional lessons that incorporate Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and practices
• Deliver training modules on child development, Indigenous culture, community development, and the skills required for teacher assistant positions
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, skill development, and personal growth
• Collaborate with the Curriculum Developer to ensure seamless alignment between curriculum and instructional delivery
• Assess participant progress and provide timely feedback to support their learning journey
• Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual needs
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, performance, and achievements
• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to ensure program effectiveness and participant success
