Protection and Controls Engineer
Wood currently has exciting opportunities for a Protection & Controls Engineer. This position can be located in any of the following offices - Vancouver, BC or Calgary, AB.

Salary range : $80,000 - $115,000

Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.
Minimum requirements :
- 5 years of utility-specific protection, control, SCADA, and metering experience.
- Experience executing EPCM projects is considered an asset.
- Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university along with the ability to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada and / or the United States.
- 3-4 years of experience in performing protection coordination studies and relay settings for high voltage utility transmission systems is considered an asset.
- Proven working experience of relay setting software such as ASPEN, CAPE, EasyPower, SKM Power Tools as well as SEL and GE relay programming software.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven field experience with outage planning, construction sequencing and commissioning is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with utility protection and control maintenance and operational practices is considered an asset.
- Clean driving record / abstract.
