Role overview

Our Deloitte Audit and Assurance is looking for talent to join our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) delivery centre team. This unique area focuses exclusively on testing activities on behalf of some of Canada’s largest organizations. The delivery centre provides a ground-floor view of how businesses operate with integrity, through defined processes, control activities and governance, to ensure financial reporting and disclosures are fairly presented. This is a foundation for more senior roles in finance, internal audit and business operations.

We are hiring in both full time and part time capacities. We support flexible or reduced work arrangements and are open to various working patterns that fit individual needs.

What will your typical day look like?

Working in our Internal Audit team offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow and learn from a diverse team of collaborators. Your days will be filled with impact – professionally, socially, and personally.

What you will do

You will support client facing teams to document or evaluate controls. Working with client engagement leads, you will document processes, interview clients virtually, or perform testing based on established test plans. As you gain comfort, you may write or recommend changes to test plans or control wording.

Who you’ll meet

You will be assigned to a delivery centre lead who will assign testing activities and be a first point of contact. You will liaise with client engagement leads, who manage ongoing relationships and program delivery. You may interact directly with clients to request documentation or participate in process and control interviews.

How you’ll learn

We provide onboarding training and access to resource libraries, a network of peer professionals, and tools to help you transition into Deloitte. Every new employee is paired with a Buddy and you’ll join a Hive of Controls Assurance practitioners for support, project opportunities, and career path discussions. A performance coach will help you set goals and receive ongoing feedback.

Career progression

There are growth opportunities within the delivery centre (e.g., testing lead, quality roles) and within the broader Controls Assurance practice.

About the team

Our Audit and Assurance team helps clients manage strategic and operational risks, improving governance, risk management, and internal controls. We operate in a hybrid model, combining local Deloitte offices with virtual work. We foster a positive, inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and flexible work options.
