Raise is hiring a Procurement Contract Specialist for Our Client a major Canadian airline. This position is a six (6)-month contract located in Calgary.

Description
As a Procurement Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for executing tactical contract termination or novation of agreements.
Role Accountabilities :
This includes, but is not limited to, the following :
- Reviewing agreements to identify termination or reassignment clauses and any additional relevant clauses.
- Aligning with the applicable business unit(s) on the appropriate action for termination or novation date.
- Drafting and issuing termination or novation documents based on templates.
- Collaborating with Legal representative to develop specific termination or novation letters in cases where the standard templates provided cannot be used.
- Expediting necessary documentation with respective internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Uploading respective documentation to Coupa System or any other project filing site assigned by the Program Manager.
- Fill out applicable Coupa System bulk upload sheet per category to enable contract bulk creation into the system.
- Ensure all activities completed are in compliance with policies and procedures.
Key Deliverables :
The project deliverables encompass the tangible results critical to the project's success and serve as markers of progress and fulfillment of Customer's expectations.
The key outputs are outlined below based on the respective strategy approach.
- Populating and updating daily Contract transition database with appropriate information associated with each action.
- Execution of company materials regarding contracts, termination letters, and novation letters on behalf of the Customer.
- Populating Coupa System with respective contract documentation
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement and supply chain are a plus.
- 10+ years experience in project procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles, contract management, and sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools for streamlining processes is desirable.
- Ability to review various contract clauses.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused approach to training and issue resolution.
