We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Wholesale Lumber Sales Manager to lead the sales initiatives in northern Alberta.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the wholesale lumber industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven sales track record.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales growth, build and maintain customer relationships, and build and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and company objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to maximize their performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including wholesalers, retailers, and contractors.
- Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess their needs and ensure alignment with company offerings.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast future sales performance.
- Negotiate and close large sales deals, ensuring profitable growth for the company.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s lumber products
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements.
- Provide product training and support to the sales team and customers as needed.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in wholesale lumber sales, ideally with experience in a sales management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of lumber products, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Remuneration for this position will consists of a base salary between $120K-150K commensurate upon experience in addition to an aggressive bonus program, appropriate expenses and full benefit program
