Responsibilities
In this position you will deliver care to patients at the Rockyview General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre, South Health Campus, Foothills Medical Centre and Alberta Children’s Hospital within a multidisciplinary team in the Department of Surgery, Orthopaedic and General Surgery.

Required Qualifications
Eligibility to work in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with open work permits).English Language Proficiency (IELTS Academic, minimum overall score 7.0, each component, certified by a notary or authorized government entity). Exemptions per CPSA guidelines.Medical Degree and Transcripts from an international medical school listed in FAIMER’s International Medical Directory.Postgraduate Medical Education – completed at least one full year of hands‑on training outside Canada and the USA, with supervised participation. No exceptions.Additional Required Qualifications
Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE1) – passed prior to application.Registration for supervised practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) under the Limited Practice Registry.Demonstrated currency of practice – within the last three years practiced independently or in a regulated supervised role for a minimum of one year in the desired discipline.Submission of Curriculum Vitae and Associate Physician Eligibility Pre‑Screen Letter from AHS.Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience in an acute‑care facility, specifically within the last 3 years in surgery.Prior experience as an Associate Physician in a Canadian healthcare setting is an asset.Seniority Level
