SQL Engine Support Engineer

SQL Engine JD : Summary View

• Experience with MS SQL Server or an equivalent database product Must have.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and SQL database optimization and problem solving role Must have.
• Experience with Relational Database management systems and concepts
• High Availability : Failover clusters, Always-on availability groups and replication
• Experience / Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in On-Premise environments
• Experience in MSSQL Server Performance - CPU, Memory, High usage and database maintenance
• Knowledge Backup and restore operations on the databases
• Knowledge in database migration.
• Knowledge on Installation and upgrades.
• Experience in Database and Server Administration
• Should be able to deploy and Troubleshoot SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances etc.

Soft Skill :

• Leadership - handle technically challenging and politically sensitive customer situations
• Strong communications skills Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Effective, polished interaction with customer to gather information quickly; explain customer responsibilities in resolving issue;

communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence

• The successful Support Engineer has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve difficult customer issues; directly supports customers through telephone, email, and chat services as applicable
• Demonstrable troubleshooting skills
• Cross-team collaboration
