Job Summary :
As a Grant Writer at alumas, you will play a crucial role in our mission by researching and applying for grants that align with our objectives. Your excellent writing skills and ability to convey our initiatives in a compelling manner will be essential to secure funding for our language revitalization projects.
Responsibilities :
- Research and identify grant opportunities from governmental agencies, private foundations, and organizations that support indigenous language revitalization and cultural preservation.
- Write grant proposals, applications, and reports that effectively communicate our mission, goals, and initiatives to potential funders.
- Collaborate with program managers and leadership to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
- Develop budgets and financial narratives for grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with funding guidelines.
- Manage grant submission timelines and deadlines, ensuring all required documentation is prepared and submitted on time.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of grants, applications, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Build and nurture relationships with grant funders, attending meetings and events to network and gather information.
- Monitor the progress of funded projects, providing updates and reports to funders as required.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in the grant funding landscape relevant to indigenous language revitalization.
- Contribute to grant-related content for our website, social media, and communication materials.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Communications, Non-Profit Management, or Indigenous Studies (preferred).Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing funding from diverse sources.Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.Strong research skills to identify relevant grant opportunities and funding sources.Familiarity with the non-profit and indigenous sectors, as well as the cultural significance of language revitalization.Proficiency in budgeting and financial reporting for grant applications.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in using grant-related software and Microsoft Office Suite.Passion for indigenous language revitalization and cultural preservation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
