We at Athabasca Catering are currently seeking candidates for our Chef Positions at our northern sites.
Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership is a 100% Saskatchewan First Nation owned and operated company. Our ownership group includes : Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Fond du Lac, Black Lake, Hatchet Lake and English River.
We are a very successful remote site catering company that has thrived in the remote site catering industry for over 27 years for several reasons;
among them is high client satisfaction, high quality of food service, qualified and skilled management at all levels and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done safely, professionally and skillfully.
Successful candidates will report to the Lodge Manager on site.
Qualifications :
Possession of current Food Safe Certification
Possession of a Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
Experience with kitchen management within the service industry
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to perform duties in a safe and effective manner
What you will be doing :
Plan and direct on-site food preparation and cooking activities
Ensure adherence to standard kitchen operating procedures for food quality.
Ensure the quality of food preparation and presentation
Ensure the kitchen is compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitization and cleanliness.
Monitor kitchen inventory
