We at Athabasca Catering are currently seeking candidates for our Chef Positions at our northern sites.

Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership is a 100% Saskatchewan First Nation owned and operated company. Our ownership group includes: Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Fond du Lac, Black Lake, Hatchet Lake and English River.

We are a very successful remote site catering company that has thrived in the remote site catering industry for over 27 years for several reasons; among them is high client satisfaction, high quality of food service, qualified and skilled management at all levels and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done safely, professionally and skillfully.

Successful candidates will report to the Lodge Manager on site.

Qualifications:

• Possession of current Food Safe Certification

• Possession of a Red Seal Certification is considered an asset

• Experience with kitchen management within the service industry

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

• Ability to perform duties in a safe and effective manner

What you will be doing:

• Plan and direct on-site food preparation and cooking activities

• Ensure adherence to standard kitchen operating procedures for food quality.

• Ensure the quality of food preparation and presentation

• Ensure the kitchen is compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitization and cleanliness.

• Monitor kitchen inventory
