Data Analyst
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Data & Analytics, this role is ideal for a STEM-educated analyst who applies statistical thinking every day. You will work on-site at a cutting-edge data facility and use your practical experience with SQL, Python, statistical testing, and experimental design to support large-scale analytics projects and continuous experimentation. You will work with one of the largest and most comprehensive customer datasets in Canada, delivering insights that directly influence decisions across Marketing, Retail Operations, and Merchandising.
Some of what you will do in this role includes :
- Working directly with business partners to understand their questions, operational processes, and key performance metrics.
- Applying statistical principles to design and run experiments in live environments, including A / B tests, multivariate tests, and T-tests.
- Writing production-quality SQL to automate data pipelines and analytical workflows.
- Using Python (primarily in Jupyter Notebook) for exploratory analysis, data preparation, modelling, and statistical evaluations.
- Building and maintaining analytical dashboards in Power BI to communicate trends, experiment results, and KPIs.
- Learning and working within cloud-based analytics platforms and big-data tools to build scalable workflows on large datasets.
- Generating novel insights that uncover business opportunities and improve results.
- Becoming a domain expert in your assigned data assets.
- Supporting a variety of analytics initiatives across the team.
You should have the following in your background to apply :
A degree in a STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) from an accredited and recognized university.At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, data science, or a similar role.Daily, practical experience using Python and SQL as core tools—not just academic familiarity.A strong understanding of statistical testing, including A / B testing, T-testing, confidence intervals, hypothesis formulation, and experiment interpretation.Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to translate questions into testable hypotheses and actionable insights.Knowledge of advanced analytical techniques such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and supervised / unsupervised learning.Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, or AWS; experience with Spark or Databricks is an asset.The ability to speak and write clear, conversational, and business-ready English.Your attributes include :
