CMM Programmer – Full Time

Salary Range : $60,000 – $70,000

About the Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Programmer to join our quality lab team in a full-time role. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in automotive or other fast-paced manufacturing environments who are passionate about dimensional validation, CNC programming, and metrology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute validation, verification, and production dimensional testing
- Operate CMM and 3D scanners to conduct and interpret 1st piece layouts and dimensional checks on manufactured components
- Participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) activities
- Generate accurate dimensional reports for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Oversee and maintain lab equipment calibration schedules using compliant documentation systems
- Ensure efficient operation of CNC and manual CMMs and associated metrological equipment
- Perform CAD-based CNC programming
- Conduct Free State alignment using vehicle datum schemes
- Perform and analyze GD&T dimensional layouts
- Support Engineering and Tooling teams with completed layout reviews
- Complete initial gauge layouts, certification reports, and capability studies
- Conduct annual gauge certifications and supporting documentation
- Maintain lab organization and cleanliness (5S principles)
- Manage test sample disposition
Required Qualifications
2–3 years post-secondary education in a technical discipline1–3 years of industry experience in automotive or fast-paced manufacturing3–5 years in metrology, GD&T, and statistical methodsProficiency in DCC-CMM, MCOSMOS, 3D-TOL, and PolyworksStrong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Minitab)Experience with metrology equipment and software preferredPersonal Attributes
