We are looking for a Sr. IT Recruiter (Must Have Ontario Public Service Exp.) Location : Remote - Ontario Length : Long-Term Contract with high possibility of becoming Permanent OVERVIEW : We are seeking an experienced IT Recruiter with a strong background in recruiting for various Ontario Ministry roles.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the public sector's unique needs and possess the skills to identify, attract, and hire top IT talent that meets the specific requirements of ministry positions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : - Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, job specifications, and organizational goals.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for IT roles within Ontario Ministries.
- Source candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, specifically targeting public sector professionals.
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit.- Maintain and manage a robust applicant tracking system to track candidates through the recruitment process.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future openings, particularly for critical roles within the ministry.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and feedback.
- Stay updated on current labor market trends, salary benchmarks, and best practices in IT recruitment within the public sector.
- Collaborate with HR and organizational leaders to enhance recruiting processes and improve employee retention. QUALIFICATIONS : - 5-10 years of proven experience as an IT Recruiter for OPS, with a focus on government or public sector recruiting in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of IT roles and the specific skills required for various technical positions.- Familiarity with Ontario's Ministry roles and the unique recruitment challenges they present.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring teams.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to solving problems and managing candidate expectations.- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : - Previous experience working within or closely with the Ontario government or related agencies.
