About the role

As a Project Engineer, you will play an important role in working with the Mining team to quote, source, scope and produce at our Cowal Gold Operation.

This position will also be responsible for :

  • Providing Operational Support to the underground mining team
  • Bringing the underground production online as per schedule
  • Contributing to the improvement of safety, production, and cost performance.
  • Working with the team leaders to implement change management
  • Assisting with tenders and procurement and managing internal and external project stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Initiating, planning, resource and project manage all facets of the various underground mine infrastructure projects
  • Maintaining appropriate records to a high level and preparing and distributing reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Meeting legislative, regulatory, and Evolution policy requirements while aligning with business objectives

  • Leading a safety culture of continuous improvement and playing an active role in our Net Zero 2050 goal.

About you :

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in infrastructure project management, particularly in construction, with a preference for experience in underground mining environments.

It is essential that you have a tertiary engineering degree, proficiency in Deswick or similar project planning software.

The right person will be an effective communicator across all levels of the business including operators, technical personnel, and other professionals.

You must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to processes, along with the ability to formulate robust project plans and schedules.

A positive attitude and collaborative team spirit are key to being successful in this position.
