Working as part of the dynamic Summer Camps team, you will provide high quality activities for children between the ages of 4 and 12. If you are enthusiastic, outgoing, responsible, at least 16 years of age with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN), available to attend training in June and work throughout the specified months below, then we have an opportunity for you! This position is approximately 35-40 hours per week during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Maximum of 1 week off throughout the summer.
Site Supervisors
Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator and Summer Coordinator, the Site supervisor will be responsible for :
- Develop and plan day-to-day camp activities and schedules
- Multi-task and prioritize staff schedules, perform program planning
- Develop and coordinate weekly camp special events
- Complete administrative duties and records retention as required (i.e. attendance, medical forms, pizza forms)
- Assist the Summer Coordinator in developing and facilitate the camp training program
- Maintain positive communication between staff, volunteers, campers & guardians
- Liaise with parents and guardians
- Provide exemplary leadership to counsellors and CIT
- Daily site planning and overseeing your specific camp location to ensure overall safety and successful operation camp location
- Provide input on weekly staff evaluations
- Meet weekly with the Camp Coordinator to discuss weekly camp objectives and enhancements
- Support and address conflicts within summer staff and participants
- Work in all weather conditions both indoors and outdoors
- Be able to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
