Director of Business Development – Hub International Insurance
Location : Windsor, ON & Ottawa, ON (full‑time in-office & hybrid).

Role objective : Lead strategic growth through B2B partnerships that embed home and auto insurance products into third‑party ecosystems. Manage partner prospect list, outreach, design, legal & financial structuring, implementation and post‑launch program growth, ensuring profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Strategy and Market Expansion
- Refine and develop partner prospect list for embedded insurance partnerships (home & auto).
- Identify high‑value verticals for prospecting.
- Analyze emerging distribution trends and competitive landscape to guide focus.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners from discovery to deal execution.
Business Development & Deal Execution
Lead outreach and relationship building with potential partners.Co‑design partner solutions with CSMO aligned to partner needs and ecosystems.Collaborate with legal & finance to structure contracts and financial models for sustainable growth.Support full sales cycle from RFP to contract signature and implementation.Partner Program Implementation
Translate partner needs into solution requirements with internal teams.Ensure partner and HCC needs reflected in solution design and deliverables for launch.Serve as main liaison throughout implementation to keep partners updated.Develop and maintain exceptional partner relationships and understand their goals.Act as primary point of contact for key partners, resolving challenges and ensuring smooth collaboration.Post‑Launch Program Management & Growth
Lead partner update meetings and presentations, sharing success insights and growth opportunities.Ensure partner satisfaction and retention.Develop and implement annual partner program plan and budget aligned to long‑term strategy.Implement program enhancements to meet growth targets and stay on scope, quality, and budget.Track and analyze program performance, providing data‑driven insights and quarterly recommendations.Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment.Provide direction and support to team.Financial Management
Maintain strong financial acumen and budget management.Support financial modelling and negotiations during agreement stages.Develop and manage annual partner program budgets and track profitability.Prepare business cases and financial scenario analyses for program enhancements.Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications
5–10 years in business development, enterprise sales, or partnership roles.Demonstrated success in senior‑level prospecting, outreach, and relationship building.Proven experience securing key national partnerships with complex B2B digital‑first solutions.Track record of growing strategic programs on client or agency side.Insurance sector experience preferred.Proficiency in digital‑first programs.3–5 years leading key accounts at Senior Manager / Director level.Minimum 10 years progressive experience.Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.Key Skills & Competencies
