Position :
Learning Design Specialist – 6 Month Contract The Learning Design Specialist is a key contributor to the Learning and Development team with the objective of supporting the designing, delivering, tracking, and administration / reporting on learning and development programs and courses. Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, the Learning Design Specialist is responsible to provide support to the design, develop, enhance, and deliver engaging blended learning solutions to enhance the learners experience and align the learning outcomes with measurable business results. What you’ll do :
- Support the development of learning programs and courses in conjunction the Learning & Development Manager and internal and external stakeholders in alignment with L&D objectives.
- End to end program execution for assigned L&D Programs and Courses. Including leadership and learning programs, refresher courses, department specific courses and others as identified.
- Assess, design, develop and update programs and course components (communications, calendars, content, reporting, tracking) to align with business needs, keeping within adult learning principles and on trend with available learning tools.
- Responsible to work with SME-s (Subject Matter Experts) for content reviews to ensure that content is updated as needed and remains relevant to the business.
- Design and develop creative digital blended learning experiences, using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation & Evaluation) methodology.
- Develop e-learning modules and videos using software tools such as Articulate 360 and Vyond.
- Track and provide metrics and performance updates.
- Transform existing training into e-learning content to be delivered through the Axonify Learning Platform.
- Use and / or recommends available platforms to curate / reference materials to use in courses. Such as, LinkedIn Learning, Axonify Marketplace, etc.
- Manage, track, and ensure processing of the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
- In collaboration with L&D Manager, team and other key stakeholders, provides support and leadership to learning and development events.
What we are looking for :
Post-secondary school education in Adult Education, Human Resources and / or BusinessA professional designation, or working towards designations in I4PL and / or HRPA preferred2-4 years- experience in a Learning and Development related field in a multi-unit retail, distribution centre and / or food production environment is preferredExperience with eLearning authoring tools, video creation software and LMS Platforms. Articulate 360, Vyond and Axonify experience is preferredAdvanced level knowledge of Microsoft desk-top applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams)Excellent organization skills and written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong creativity and attention to detailWork Environment :
