We are seeking an on-site Employment Advisor to join our Castlegar and Trail WorkBC teams. The successful applicant will work as an Employment Advisor in both WorkBC Centers (for example 2 days / week in Trail and 3 days / week in Castlegar).

Responsibilities

• Provide the full scope of Employment Resource Advisor and Employment Counsellor duties in the WorkBC Centre and WorkBC Resource Room, delivering client-centred, culturally appropriate, and inclusive services.
• Offer front-line support, employment workshops, and labour market information, along with individualized assessment, employment planning, progress monitoring, and case documentation and management.
• Collaborate with team members, employers, and community partners to ensure seamless, high-quality service delivery of the WorkBC program.
• Assess individual needs, identify appropriate opportunities and resources, monitor progress, document client files, and help clients find and maintain sustainable employment in a changing economy.

Wage : $25.20 to start, eligible for benefits at 90 days

Position Type

Permanent, full-time (35 hours / week). This position is eligible for the West Kootenay RCIP program, as KCDS is a designated employer.
